Guinea
Guinea is a West African country known for Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The country's name came from a Portuguese name for the Guineus, who lived in the area.
Criticism
Despite the name, guinea pigs do NOT come from Guinea! In fact, they come from the Andes of South America. Want proof? Look at the capybara. It's the world's biggest rodent, making the guinea pig look like a mere grain of rice in comparison. Capybaras also live in South America.
