Russia is a transcontinental country in the Real World spanning across Europe and Asia. At 17.1 million km2, it is the largest country in the world by area. The Trans-Siberian Railway, fittingly the longest railway line in the world, stretches across most of Russia from the capital Moscow to Vladivostok, a distance longer than the distance between Vladivostok and Mexico.
Russia is home to Lake Baikal, and its pinniped inhabitant, the nerpa.
