Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian country known for the sun on its flag depicting the opening of the roof in the centre of a yurt. Sound familiar? "Kyrgyz" essentially means "We are forty," which likely refers to the forty peoples a hero united.
Kyrgyzstan has six enclaves. Of those, one owned by Uzbekistan is only two miles wide.
Trivia
- The Atlas Altera equivalent is Narnia, but it has a different etymology than C. S. Lewis's realm. Rather, it seems etymologically similar to the name Naryn, now referring to the largest region in Kyrgyzstan, and the regional capital.
