Armenia's own alphabet, created by venerated linguist Mesrop Mashtots, seen here on the walls of this Orthodox monastery.
Armenia is a country on the Caucasus in Asia bordering Türkiye to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran to the south. Armenia is the land of apricots; its national instrument, the duduk, is made of apricot. Armenia is also the first nation to adopt Christianity as its religion. Today, the Armenian Apostolic Church is one of the Oriental Orthodox Churches. Its church buildings are almost entirely made of stone.
Wonderful. Though I must say, you should know a true Christian by their fruit... Well, apricots are good fruits to feed!
